FAQ

  • What is a registered dietitian?
A registered dietitian is basically a credentialed nutritionist. In order to become a registered dietitian, you must: - Have a minimum of a bachelors (or masters) degree in nutrition/dietetics. - Get matched into a supervised practice program and complete a minumum of 1200 hours in a variety of settings (including clinical nutrition) - Pass the national boards exam - Complete a certain number of continuing education units each year to maintain credentialed - Most states also require specific state licensure
  • I don't have time to track calories. Is this the right program for me?
Absolutely! My approach with each client is different, depending on their goals and lifestyle. Most of my clients do follow a "no numbers" approach. Macro/calorie counting can be a great educational tool for people to visualize what they are eating in retrospect to their needs, however, it is not meant to be a long term solution (no one wants to "count" for the rest of their lives - it's unsustainable). If you are a numbers person, we will take your lifestyle into consideration when determining appropriate numbers for you.
